The most valuable thing I learned in Physical Therapy school.

Our joints alternate between stable and flexible from our toes to our fingers.

Stable joints mostly move in one plane of motion.

Flexible joints can move in almost any direction.

Toes → Flexible
Foot → Stable
Ankle → Flexible
Knees → Stable
Hips → Flexible
Lower back →Stable
Upper back → Flexible
Shoulder blade → Stable
Shoulder → Flexible
Elbow → Stable
Wrist → Flexible
Hands → Stable
Fingers → Flexible

Why is this insight so valuable?

Let’s say you have low back pain.

Since we know it's designed for stability, we’re not going to spend a ton of time stretching that area.

To get to the root of the problem, stretch your hips and upper back.

Strengthen your lower back. Things like planks and deadlifts.

Notice how my lower back is relatively flat with this thoracic spine stretch.

Also, try this seated hip hinge exercise to stretch and strengthen your hip.

Again, the lower back is staying flat (Hi Henry).

Stretching is a great tool to fix your mobility problems.

But when you have an injury that lasts more than a couple of weeks, you begin to develop weakness.

If stretching doesn't solve the problem, it's because you have a strength issue. That's why I created my 60-day Foot Pain Recovery plan.

An 8-week strengthening program.

It's not another complicated system but a series of simple steps that will save you time and effort.

Nobody deserves to be held back by foot pain. It's not just about fixing feet but also so you feel like a whole person again. I want to help you return to walking, running, and playing sports without limitations.

You’ll get the effective habits and exercises in this course so you can build strength in less time.

I have helped over 100 people get foot pain relief, including people like Lucas Gordon who said

"I've been to other physical therapists and done all their exercises. Doctor Van Acker's exercises have kept me pain-free and at the top of my game." (current college baseball player)

The course goes on sale April 8th, just 25 days from now.

You may be wondering why I’m promoting foot flexibility after claiming feet are designed to be stable. The 10 stretches target your toes and ankle (for foot pain relief).

Improve the stability of your arch and stretch your toes and ankle.
