How to get in the best shape of your life:
(from personal experience)
Some people can’t believe I chose to keep my car outside in the winter.
But it’s worked out well for me.
At 30, I’m in the best shape of my life and the snow still doesn’t scare me.

Consistency at the gym can be challenging when considering commute time (and remembering a change of clothes).
Home workouts for me started at the start of COVID lockdowns.
I was in San Francisco, California working as a physical therapist.
It was one of the first major cities to have an outbreak and we were told the PT clinic would be closing.
I knew gyms were next.
That night, I ordered two 50 lb kettlebells and a few lighter dumbbells.
Some people predicted toilet paper shortages.
I made a plan to stay active.
The next day, all workout equipment was sold out.
Yes, even on Amazon. I fell in love with working out at home.
I started lifting weights every day.
Partially because there wasn't a lot to do during the COVID lockdowns.
So when my wife and I bought a house, we knew we wanted a home gym. It started in our spare bedroom.
Both of us experienced life-changing results.
Consistent exercise has reduced our stress and raised our energy levels.
Upgrading our workout space to the garage was an easy decision.
Even with a space heater, it can be pretty cold in the winter.
The good news is cold exposure boosts energy and burns fat.
But if I’m being honest, I wish it was summer and we could keep the garage doors open.
I’ve made changes to bring exercise into my environment.
I chose a career that has kept me active. I invested in a relationship with someone who also likes to exercise. I started writing online about my fitness journey.
It’s harder for me to be sedentary than it is to be active.
Even the other physical therapists tell me I have good posture.
Putting my body in the right position comes naturally.
Because fitness isn’t just about what you do in the gym, It's the sum of everything you do and think.
Make every moment an opportunity to improve your fitness.
Breathe, sit with a straight spine, walk, lift, play sports, exercise barefoot.
Get in shape by adopting the identity of a fit person.
Hope this helps,
