How to avoid chronic joint pain

58.9% of adults experienced joint pain in the past 3 months.

Over the past 5 years, 1000,s of people have come to me wanting to get rid of their symptoms.

In this email, I’ll share with you the 2 most important habits to avoid movement dysfunction.

#1 is to move more.

I get it, if you’re currently in pain this can be a challenge.

That’s the main reason people go to see a PT.

“It hurts when I use my arm/leg/back.”

Half of my job is giving people permission to move.

Pain is a signal to be cautious but it’s not the problem.

Weakness and/or a lack of mobility are the root cause of your joint problems.

I’ll also add coordination…

But again, more movement is how you improve your flexibility, strength, and coordination.

Our bodies weren’t designed to sit all day.

The solution is to add more movement to your workday.

Walking phone calls, stand up from your desk, spend time outside!

It’s not that people who exercise more never experience joint pain.

But they’ve built up a tolerance.

Movement improves the resiliency of your:

-Muscles
-Tendons
-Joint surfaces
-Veins and arteries
-And lowers mental stress!

Avoiding joint pain isn’t complicated: Don’t stop moving.

Movement is medicine.

What’s hard is getting rid of chronic joint pain.

Your body starts to re-wire nerves to expect pain and dysfunction.

So if I could give you one more piece of advice on avoiding joint pain, it would be prevent injuries at all costs.

When you have pain, listen to your body.

It’s a signal that something needs to change.

Take a break, build strength, change your position.

The most challenging part of recovering from joint pain is exercise selection.

That’s why physical therapists will never be out of a job.

And that’s why I started a personal brand.

I want to help you get out of joint pain so you have more focus.

Because an aching back is a bigger distraction than most are willing to admit.

So if you have just 30 seconds it would mean a lot.

What’s one thing you’re not clear about when it comes to getting rid of joint pain?
