5 simple changes to improve your posture
Why do so many of people struggle to stand up straight?
Here's my top 5 reasons for poor posture (and how to improve it):
Fatigue-
After a 12 hour day or not enough sleep, it’s almost impossible to maintain good posture.
Any one position will wear your body out.
Changing the way you sit, stand, or kneel shifts the stress to different structures.
But some positions are worse than others.
Which leads us to our next reason for poor posture.
Chairs
Some say sitting is the new smoking.
The sad truth about the sedentary lifestyle is that it’s not only slowing down our bodies but also our minds.

The problem with sitting is that our hips are stuck in flexion.
Walking is the perfect solution.
Each step we take stretches your hip flexor.

When you’re walking try take longer strides and point your toes straight.
Simple adjustments to increase hip extension resulting in lower back relief.
Screen height
Our DNA designed us to be looking out into the horizen.
Laptops aren’t meant to be on your lap.

Higher screen height to straighten your neck.
Improved posture for better brain blood flow.
Shoes with a heel
Standard shoes ruin your posture.
But zero-drop brings you back into alignment.

Spend more time barefoot and wear flat soled shoes.
Skill and awarness
We all have an idea of what good posture looks like.
But most people don't know how to put their bodies in the right position.
