3 types of shoes that are deforming your feet:

Narrow shoes, sandals, and slippers are terrible for your toes.

Modern footwear pinches your toes and causes them to curl.

Big shoe companies don’t know what’s good for you.

They’re selling comfort and status.

Of course, we all want the coolest sneakers.

But I prefer function over fashion when it comes to my footwear.

Our toes were designed to spread and point straight ahead.

Here are the 4 steps to restoring natural movement in your foot:

  1. No slippers and no sandals

Your toes curl to keep the flip-flop in contact with your foot.

Only wear sandals that securely attach to your feet.

  1. Toe spreaders

The most affordable way to start straightening your toes (find a pair for less than $10 on Amazon).

Start with wearing them for an hour a day around your house.

  1. Search for shoes with enough room for your toes.

Google (or chatGPT) keywords:

Minimalist shoes, barefoot shoes, shoes with a wide toe box.

Narrow shoes cause bunions, poor balance, and foot pain.

  1. Toe ext exercise

Try this stretch if your toes are curling toward the floor.

The key is to make sure your toes are in a good position before you start to put pressure on them.

Straighten them with using your hands if needed.

You can also try this exercise standing if you want to start with an easier version.

PS

Are you reliant on supportive shoes to keep your foot pain under control?

The problem with this approach is that it ignores the root of the problem (weak feet).

Your foot's ability to support itself.

That’s why I created the 60-day Foot Pain Recovery Plan.

An online course to help active people fix their feet for good.
